Year make and model are irrelevant. What we need to know is when it was converted. If it was yesterday, problem may be different to if it was a long time ago. Seems like you have a large sink to earth. If it is indeed 30 amps, something will be generating about 350 watts. You should be able to locate it fairly easily. If the battery is "boiling" it would appear the alternator is charging but is not being regulated. There is a regulator problem at least. RAB
