And here I thought for a minute that I wasn"t the only one with machinery issues. Thanks for gettin my hopes up Allan :( My luck has just plain run out as far as farming. My R is still in the shop, my first crop of alfalfa was lost after mechanical issues kept me out of the field until rain hit, my orchard grass was lost due to a weed infestation, my baler is broke down with over 400.00 in new parts already in it, my mowing tractor now has a shot governor and a bad magneto, my raking tractor is having distributor issues, I"m going to lose over 1300.00 in fertilizer alone on just that little 16 acre patch of orchard grass, I may have just blown a head gasket on my baling tractor (due to a fast radiator leak), I can"t afford decent hay equipment, my family and friends think I am wasting my life because I want to farm some, and I am now putting in for a weather job in South Dakota (I live in S. Ohio) so I can make everyone happy by abandoning my grandad"s farm (just been in the family for around 5 generations so no big deal, right?). I"d love to have problems like that little "H", Allan. You are blessed.
