As long as you filter good you should be ok. If they were used for diesel they probably haven't rusted too bad. If used for gas they could be very rusty. Fine rust would be my biggest concern. You may want to put two filters in series. From the looks of the land in the background it's a wonder they haven't been blown into the next state.
