It would help if he knows whether it is a fuel or ignition related problem. No amount of tinkering with the carb will help if there is no spark or the best spark in the world will not run an engine if there is insufficient fuel. When it stops, immediately check for plug sparks and/or a good continuous fuel flow from the carb. He should then at least have an idea of which system is at fault. Regards, RAB
