My husband has a 1943 Ford 9N/@n tractor that he adores: however, he had developed a problem in that the tractor starts and stalls either immediately or after 30-35minutes and yhen won't restart for awhile. He has rebuilt the carburator, replaced the coil and condenser. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and would help my marriage. Thanks

When my 9N started started dying after it warmed up, I replaced the coil, and have had no more problems. Hope this helps.

Try the 9N,2N,8N board. There are some real experts over there with loads of experience.

It would help if he knows whether it is a fuel or ignition related problem. No amount of tinkering with the carb will help if there is no spark or the best spark in the world will not run an engine if there is insufficient fuel. When it stops, immediately check for plug sparks and/or a good continuous fuel flow from the carb. He should then at least have an idea of which system is at fault.
