you can use your 12 volt neg ground pickup to jump your 6 volt pos ground tractor. hook pos cable to pos on pickup and neg to neg on pickup then pos to starter where the cable hooks to it. and then make sure it is in NEUTRAL and hook neg to a ground somewhere near the starter. the 12 volts will not hurt as long as you dont do it for very long. and your starter doesnt care if it neg or pos. matt
