Scary stuff, especially that "too late" line. Do Fergusons have some disconnecting rig to shut off the 3pt hitch when they rear, reducing traction? I ran across a reference to it in a Massey-Ferguson plough manual. Also, when running the old gray Ferguson on a bush hog, from time to time (usually in an extreme situation) it would inexplicably stop working, having shifted its pto and transmission out of gear. Would that rig have saved this guy?
