Just got done listening to a live interview with Jerry Gruenwald, Director of the Energy and Environmental Research Center at the University of North Dakota. The University recently completed a 3 year study of lake bottom sediment from the last 2000 years. Their soon to be released report points to a long lasting drought that will make the 1930's look pale in comparison. He pointed out that farmers that are irrigating will face one of the biggest challenges of their life, simply because there will be NO water available. Boy...do I hope this forecast is wrong!
