I've towed an 8N from FL to OH, an 8N and an 850 from OH to FL (separate trips) on a 23' deck tandom trailer behind a 34' class A Itasca with 460 Ford and E4OD. Trailer weighs about 2Klbs and of course has brakes. No problems at all. I had beefed up the frame extension on the MH. I used OD when ever the tranny was not "hunting" and the engine was not lugging. When I got into the hills I would force downshift and lock out the OD. I had a Banks transcommand on the tranny. Fuel mileage was around 6MPG, if I remember right. I was under the GCVWR of the Motorhome. I have a diesel pusher MH now but have not towed the loaded trailer with it other than to run the brake controler to the MH and test drive the brakes. The DP pulls my Jeep Wrangler towed just fine, I don't know it is there. ray
