I am on the nationwide plan, but sounds different than yours. I certainly get charged for roaming, and killed for that if happens again. I have two cells. Both were the 4000 minute nationwide all long distance free, for $75 per month each ($150 total). But was using land line to Indiana to call now ex-girlfriend, and monthly's were about $225. So really cut down going to the two cells. Originally, the cell that I used with her (had Indiana number so she could dial 7 digits to get me) had 600 anytime minutes and something like 160 long distance minutes, for about $40 per month. We hit and surpassed the 160 long distance minutes in no time, and the bill was MEGA $$$. So, had it changed to a flat 4000 minute including all long distance for flat rate of $75 per month. Was great, until we broke up. Gave that phone to Mom so she pays no long distance anytime to anyone, I pay the bills. Two Verizon cell phones, 4000 anytime minutes each, all long distance included, $150 per month combined. Is not cheap, but is better than $225 per month once paid.

When a sister went to Florida on vacation, Mom loaned her that cell. No problem with me, it's covered. NOT EXACTLY. Where ever she was, wasn't Verizon, so roaming as she called everyone a couple of times a day. Man when I got that bill. Oh well, she had fun.

Talk to most, and they'll tell you I've got a lousy (old marketing) deal. Others today blow it away. Still, I'm not paying $225, and my Mom's not paying $150 in long distance a month, so I'm saving $225 per month, and that's much much better.

Mark
