Hi I am thinking about buying a 1941 Allis Chalmers C tractor. Although I am not sure what it is worth. The owner is asking about $800 for it, but I think he is a little high. I wanted to post a message about it, so I could see what you guys thought. The tractor is mostly complete, except for a few small parts that I noticed were missing. The strap that holds the sediment bowl on , and a small oil line. The rest of the tractor looks pretty good. The sheet metal is great and would just need a paint job. It has been sitting outside for about 20 years and hasnt been run for that long either. I dont know if the engine is stuck.The tires look Ok, but one rear rim is rusted out. Also the electrical box that shows your battery charge is shot. It also has a wide front on it but the tractor had a loader on it at one time and it really screwed up the front axle tube. Also the sterring joints need to be replaced because there is about 1/4 turn of play in the steering. It also needs a steering wheel, muffler, and a grill. It has a grill on it right now but it is off of an Allis Chalmers combine because the old grill was wrecked. One more thing. The owner said it had a two point hitch but it isnt all there. Only the lift part is there, the arms are gone. I was wondering if this could be converted to a three point. Thats about it. Tell me how much you think it would be worth, and if it would be worth it to take it on as a project. Thanks for reading
