Although the posts below are viable and some even humorous, just leave them alone. They are one of God's precious creatures and they have a niche in your little geological environment. After a few days they will become more friendly and less stressful. Leave them some of your food out in the open and they'll have a little family of their own and won't bother you so much. If this doesn't work you could quit your job (but release the flies before heading back to head office). And if that doesn't work, maybe resort to a flyswatter made out of newspaper.
