Super C has about the same engine size and HP as my Case VAC, and I use my VAC once in awhile with a 6' King Cutter. No problem. I usually use one of my bigger tractors, but sometimes the Case is nice since it has a gas engine is more quiet than my bigger diesels. Overriding clutch on the PTO is essential - but I have power enough for moderate brush cutting.
Now, if you want to talk about the design of the King Cutter - that's another story! What a poorly designed piece-of-junk as compared to other mowers/cutters. Bought mine in a hurry last year at Tractor Supply Co. My 6' Brush Hog was temporarily broken - so I picked up the King Cutter. Came without a guard and throws scrap into the rear tractor tires. I got two flats the first week I used it. Finally made a chain guard for it. Then, I kept on breaking the top link and finally put a chain on instead. The chain lets it float a bit. Also found out this thing plows ground when backing up since it has no skids. I guess you get what you pay for. By the time I get done modifying this thing, I would of been better off paying more to start with.
