I've been over the ALCAN 13 times, and over the years it's got better and better. There'a always around 125 miles of it tore up due to repairs, but it's still not so bad these days. Now, i told an internet friend that a year or so back, and he and his wife drove there motorhome to Alaska. Upon returning, he proclaimed it the "trip from hell" and said he couldn't believe how bad the road is!!! I guess him being a cailforian, he hasn't seen any honest to God bad roads in his life!! Yeaaa, the gas prices are gonna scare you to death!! Robert
