Technically - the number one cylinder is wherever you put the plug wire on the #1 distributor cap - but officially, it is the cylinder closest to the fan (sorry, my humor is not appreciated by some...). Don't forget, on the 9N the firing order is 1,2,4,3. Good luck, Dan
