These things sold new for about $40.- $60. dollars, so as the little boys says, what do you expect for nothing?
Dirt falls off the front of the scoop while traveling, making it heavy in the rear, and leaving it out of balance, Especially loose dry dirt. Sometimes you can help matters by taking up on the top link and going slower so the front dirt won't fall off. I know that taking up on the top link will let dirt fall off, but letting it out throws the thing out of balance to the rear, plus it won't take the ground when loading. This is where a hyd top link would come in handy, but that is just something to dream about. Undisturbed fresh dirt hauls and loads better. Having built a fish pond back in the 50s and other work, I have moved several million lbs of dirt with Dearborn scoops and I have used other brands that are not as good. Dearborn or Ford is the top of the line. I still own one today.
