Using a test light, ground 1 lead to the tractor chassis, and touch the probe to the large stud on the starter solenoid that the (+) battery able is connected to. No light... dead battery(s), bad cable... could be where cable connects to one of the battery posts, or one of the cables could be corroded inside one of the end terminals. It shouldn't take too long with the test light find which connection is bad. Test light lights... you have a problem with the large wires that share the solenoid stud with the battery cable, and go back over the transmission housing, and up to the key and light switches.
