We have an IH 185 Cub Low-boy which like the others have said is built very tough and should last forever however it is not a fast mower and in not the most user friendly machine. Since you say mowing will be it's main job I would give a good look to a commercial duty zero turn mower like a Dixie Chopper or Grasshopper. One of these mowers should last a very long time and will cut your mowing time in half compared to a simular sized tractor and belly mower. Last summer we tried out an Arien's 22hp 50" deck commercial duty zero turn mower, with our Cub Lowboy it took 2 hours to mow our lawn as well as a solid hour doing trim work with a push mower but even with a smaller deck the zero turn did it all in less than an hour and a half while doing a better job. I realize a tractor would have more options such as a front end loader but there are a number of options for the zero turn mowers such as front blades.
