Can't wire a alternator to a positive ground system. You have to change it over to negative ground system. I don't know if Ford uses a charge rate switch (three position, lights,low,high charge switch). If they do, you would have to replace it with a regular light switch. Course, if you want to try to hook it up to positive ground. Make sure you have a spare alternator and enough wire to rewire the tractor when your done.
