Hello all. I would like a few opinions on flail mowers. Brands, price, etc. I have 6 acres to keep groomed. I have developed it into a park like setting and I figure that rather than buying a brush hog and a finish mower, I could probably buy a single flail mower to do the job of the other two mowers for near the same price. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I have been told that a flail mower does a much nicer job than the other two types of mowers as well. Is the up-keep of a flail expensive? How much are a set of blades and how often do you replace them. I am looking for a 72" model. I own a Ford 3600 diesel, will the tractor run this mower? Thanks again for all replies!!
