Here is how I see it. The WD is a bit smaller and lighter, but with loaded tires and or weights it can be made to weigh the same as an M. Therefore you get to choose how heavy you want your tractor. The WD is less money. It has a clutch that disengages power to the transmission,stopping the tractor while maintaining hydraulic and PTO power. If the oil this clutch runs in is cold and or thick you may not be able to shift without using the main (foot) clutch. The transmission clutch is hand operated and runs in the transmission oil. The WD45 I ran as a kid could be shifted with the transmission clutch after the oil was warm. It had 20 weight oil in the transmission. No matter how you figure it both of these tractors are good machines, but go for the WD, and start hanging out on the orange page. Or do as someone said and get both, I liked his logic.
