I can't believe this "question"!
Is it alright to trespass, just becouse you think you won't get caught?
Would it be OK to shoot someone, just because you think that you wouldn't get caught?
A law is a law. break it, and you're a criminal.
It's no different than taking the wheels off of someones truck, becouse you want them, and they aren't using them at the time.
It all falls back on LACK OF RESPECT FOR SOMEONE ELSES PROPERTY.
If they wish to keep everyone off of their land, for whatever reason, then that's their right. They paid for the land, and they're responsible for it. STAY OFF OF IT.
I own almost 1500 acres. My insurance agent, and my attorney both "insist" on my not allowing anyone, other than myself or my son, to hunt on the property. We have it posted, and WILL HAVE ANY VIOLATORS ARRESTED.
I don't know the "percentages", but I would guess that there are more injuries/deaths/lawsuits involving ATV's than there are the same with hunters. I raced dirtbikes, and ATV's when I was younger. I know that there is a lack of "good" places to ride. This "situation" is due in part, to the number of "illegal" riders on private land. The participants in the "sport" of ATV riding, are their own worst enemy. STAY OFF OF LAND THAT YOU DON'T HAVE PERMISSION TO BE ON! Especially, stay off land that you have been told to stay off of. Failure to do so, will only cause you to loose the right to ride in MORE area's.
Just like an earlier post, how would you like it if someone decided to camp on your front lawn, just because the wanted to?
RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES PROPERTY. RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES RIGHT TO "CONTROL" THEIR PROPERTY.
