Dan: I have to correct what I wrote earlier about wiring the coil. It has been a long day and I told you some wrong information. If your tractor is a negative ground, the wire from the switch should connect to the negative post on the coil. The positive side of the ciol then connects to the distributor post. A good way to remember this is + - + - + - + You never connect two positives or two negatives together. If your tractor is positive ground, then the switch wire will connect to the positive side of the coil. The negative side will connect to the distributor. (See what I mean, picture a battery with the POSITIVE side grounded. The NEGATIVE wire feeds the POSITIVE side of the coil. The NEGATIVE side of the coil feeds the distributor.) Sorry about the mix-up. Tell me how it goes.
