I agree. Good work. Unfortunately some on the board don't quite understand the mechanics of the bypass oil filter system on their engines. On these type there will always be a fraction of the oil flow, otherwise destined for the engine bearings, going thru the filter and directly back to the sump. On the better systems (like my oliver 90) the oil filter has built in protection to terminate oil filtering if the inlet pressure falls below a minimum, and will bypass unfiltered oil to the sump if the pressure builds up in the filter shell. The engines which rely on oil flow in the filter being controlled by the pressure drop across the filter need an extra restriction - ie a smaller oil outlet into the filter (and this will possibly block unless it is fitted with a jiggle pin). Can't win really. So much for 'so-called' progress. Regards, RAB
