I browse this site and others (including eBay) and watch the asking or reserve prices and the closing price. I also go thru the photo ads and classified items to get an idea of current prices. When I compare these to my areas' figures I have a pretty good feel for the current market. Recently, a guy bought an Oliver 60 from an individual here; he did a valve job and added a used but serviceable battery, he then traded it to a dealer in 'antiques'. The dealer is asking 4 grand for the 60 which had sold for about 1500 two weeks prior....talk about inflation! :-O Yikes!
