Great comments guys. I think what is being done is nothing short of criminal. The oil compainies are feathering their own nests and using us as the feathers. What if everyone in the country didn't buy gas for just 2 days? Do you think that would put a hurt on them like it did the airlines after the Sept. 11 attacks? I wish we could get the word out to the whole country to do that and fill up as little as possible the days before, just enough to do what we need to do and then only buy gas on those other days in the event of an emergency. I think the message might just be heard. I often wonder just how many gallons of gas/diesel is sold in a days time? I'm sure the total would be very high. I realise there are some that rely on their vehicles for a living so this might be hard to do but even one day of not filling up out of the two would beat nothing. I'm mearly pointing out with these statements that something is way wrong somewhere and there needs to be something done.
