Mike, I know people down at the variety store will wonder about you but go down and buy the package of zigzag's. If you want the impulse coupling out of the picture crank the engine over TDC#1 then backup after the mag trips, go back beyond the desired timing then up to it,put the paper between the points and turn the mag until the paper comes loose.
