I have a very handy 16' tandem axle trailer I use to haul a variety of things. Also loan it out from time to time to friends, neighbors. Problem is the location of the lites. Either me or someone else is always tearing them up. They are mounted on a steel plate about 1' fwd. of the drop down ramps on either side. I have hit them with tractor tires, implements, stumps, brush etc. You name it - seem every 8 or 9th trip I have to replace a lens or entire lite assy. Thinking of getting some fenders and mounting lites to them. I have yet to tear off a tire :) OR weld up a small metal box around the lites to protect them. Where are yours mounted? Thanks
