If you have 3 screws above the spark plugs and below the valve cover that hold the top edge of a tin plate on the side of the engine you have a 216. If the spark plugs screws into the head and not through a tin plate, you have a 235 or 261. And as JMOR said all of the tuneup stuff will likely be the same no matter what 6 cylinder is in it. Unfortunately, for you the 1953 ..stove bolt.. got quite a few improvements like fully pressurized oil to the bearings. The 52 and earlier engines pumped oil into troughs under the rods that ..dipper.. cups on the bottom of the rod spun through to pick up the lube oil for the rod bearings.
