Good deal for you and also a generous act giving the students a live model to work on. Only difference between a bad haircut and a good is two weeks. My brother became a barber 52 years ago. While he was at barber school, it was 50 cents for a student haircut. The local Salvation Army would send men from their shelter in for a haircut and a shave with a coupon. To become a qualified barber my brother had to be able to give straight razor shaves. Once he became a barber it was only about 10 years before no one ever asked for a shave. He is now 76, and still cuts hair 4 days a week in his shop. Not very many old style barber shops left nowadays, mostly hair salons, with women snipping the hair
