I decided today is the end for me getting under my cars and truck to change oil.
I bought my buick new in 2005 and GMC truck new in 2007. I trusted my dealer to service the buick and GMC when they were under warranty , 5 years.
I have confidence in my local GM dealer. No screw ups in 17 years.
My GM dealer charges $39.99 plus tax for a full synthetic oil change and the 5th oil change is free. So that works out to 5 oil changes for $160 plus tax.
My 2018 cadillac requires full synthetic and oil changes work out to 6000 miles.
The best thing is that the Tire Barn is next door to my GM dealer.
So every oil change I'll go next door and have tires rotated and balanced for FREE. I will schedule oil changes around lunch time and have the boss pick me up to go out for lunch instead of sitting around. Then while the tires are getting balanced go shopping at Krogers..
With inflation, What would it cost you for 5 oil changes, filter and full synthetic if you did it yourself??
I'm too old and have no desire to get under another vehicle.
Last month my Buick used a half tank of gas. My truck is semi-retired after selling a rental property last year.
I used my truck to pull my Kubota over to rental and mow 2.25 acres. Last year I used the implement trailer 2x and dump trailer 2x.
My Kubota hasn't taken a ride in a year.
Going to be a few years before it takes a ride to my dealer in town..
I will service all Tractors, except for Kubota which is under warranty. I'll also service all my riding mowers.

Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o
