Nice barn at north edge of Howard,KS...Cant get any closer..

Heading east on a main road in Elk County Kansas..It leads towards Busby where theres a one room school..This is the east edge of Flint Hills
cattle country.

Creek bottom wheat field in Wilson County Kansas...For as cold and wet as its been, its amazing that it looks this good. Some doesnt..
The recent heavy rain has severely damaged lots of the roads in this area. Some corn fields had damage...Most is up and is a good stand.

Unknown one room school east of Fredonia,KS.
It should last covered in tin.

Low water bridge on the Fall River west of Fredonia,KS..It had been bank full a few days earlier and
was still rolling yesterday..If my late MIL had been with me she would have been screaming thinking
I would attempt crossing it.No Thanks..There will be another day..

This is an old picture from 2007 of a huge farming operation in SE Kansas...This is a township road that goes thru the middle..
There are now 24 huge grain bins on the west side and 11 smaller ones on the east side...There are 8 machine sheds
with some being big and some being smaller..Theres enough machinery there to farm 20,000-30,000 acres or more.

This is from 2007..A huge barn east of Farlington,KS..It needs a roof but the cost would be unreal.

Main Street in the ghost town of Elgin,KS in 2012..It was eerily quite that day...I may be in it this week?

Elgin,KS A Town Too Tough To Die...I need to do a story on it as it has quite a history...I have lots of pictures.

Big Brutus at West Mineral,KS...The worlds largest electric shovel..Weighs
11 million lbs and has a 90 yard bucket. Its 160 ft tall and cost 6.5 million in 1962.
