i sure dont know whats going on here with 15-40 oil. been using castrol 15-40 in my duramax since new. 2 winters ago could not find it so i used mobil 1. then since then used castrol till this summer could not find it again. tryed very learily and use shell rotella 15-40. the other day checked the oil and down to the add mark. i have never ever added oil to this truck between oil changes have 444,000 km. leary because i tryed it in my tractor and the tractor was using more oil with this shell junk. been hunting for 15-40 castrol or mobil 1 oil now for weeks and have not found any. i was asking the walmart and canadian tire personal with all these diesels on the road what are they using for oil. looked all over edmonton , westlock, and was even in slave lake and no oil. i am baffled. as for shell i still say thats the worst oil out there.
