So the past few weeks have been a blur... but harvest is more or less finished. There's a couple acres left, everything is full, and I'm tired of listening to the corn dryer in the evenings. :)
Late this afternoon I brought the Minnie back from another farm up the road. We used it to bin about 15000 bushels up there. I pulled in to the gas tank, and the A was already there, so an impromptu photo shoot came to be.
The A my grandfather bought ne in 1950, the MM U is a '51. My grandfather's brothers and sister had some very similar U's- including a '49 and '52 that lurk in the shadows here. I'm sure the A stopped at the watering hole with those U's many a time back in the day.
The bin shot has my son hauling corn to a 3rd location with the big tractor, and the 70 loading a semi bound for Chicago on Monday.
The last is of the 4020 blowing corn into a 20x70 silo with an aeration floor... we had 3 tractors and six wagons on this chore Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you tomorrow. May it be a blessed day!

In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
