One of dad's customers bought a new 7520. Then in 1983 the banker sold everything but the house the guy owned. The sale was on a very cold and windy winter day. The 7520 sold for $10,000.
Short story about JD tractors. In 1950 dad was ten or eleven. He went with grandpa to town to get parts for the 41 A. The town was full of people. They seemed to all be headed to the JD dealer. The dealer was addressing the crowd to look the new tractor over as it was the largest tractor they would ever see John Deere build! On the way home grandpa told dad that tractor was as big as a locomotive who would want one!
