YUP i am with yo on this . First off the have only ever made two Automatic's , You have the ones that are already out and you have the ones that are going out . Back in the day i worked as a mechanic/ Tech what ever for Ford and Chrysler and i was pretty darn good at what i did because someone was always tryen to steal me away to come work for them . I worked mainly on the performance cars Till someone let it slip that hey he knows DIESELS while working for a large Ford dealership that also sold big trucks as i knew Cummins and Detroit s and even had the TOOLS I went thru Chryslers schooling on the 727's and 904's and knew all the tricks of beefing them p for racing and went thru Ford schooling on the slush boxes of the day your FMX C4 and C 6's and again all the tricks of the trade to beef them up shift harder and faster . I have owend TWO Ford F 250 4X4's with C 6's and the best i could get out of them was five years of snow plowing and they would always drop kick you when you needed them the most . Yea i could drop one out and throw in in my tranny stand and wizz thru one in less then a day and be back at it with a C 6 built and a 727 even faster . Now with a good old fashioned Standard transmission myself i have never had a problem with a good old fashioned four speed and the jury is still out on the NV 4500 in my Dodge and it is a 95 . But i do not tow with it and i do not slam shift it since it is a TRUCK . Now one one friend thinks he is driving his old Super BEE and slam shift his and to date have gone thru four third gear synchronizer aqnd he insisted on dragging his goose neck in Over drive and munched that up . My 88 Ford F 350 i beat the dog snot out of that truck and had to put a clutch in due to the throw out bearing failure but never a problem with the ZF five sped as i did not tow in over drive and with the 460 engine running forth gear with the trailer on put the engine in it's power and torque range . Take a page out the old IRON HAULERS HAND BOOK , and it states if your going to haul IRON then ya need IRON to haul it with.
