Do not starve - it will all come roaring back eventually because you cannot maintain that diet for life. I am on strict keto - very high fat and high protein and high salt. Most folks do not eat enough salt. Doctrors did us all a disservice when they said to cut salt. You might cut 3 points off your BP but your heart rate went up more than enough to make you less healthy overall.

Eat more meat and chicken. I lost 22 pound in the first 15 days and in the last two weeks have lost 20 more. I am never hungry as I eat all the roast, burger patties, chicken (not breaded!), butter and mayo I want. For a snack I eat celery sticks dipped in mayonaisse. Oh - my cholesterol is down into normal range. Most do NOT get high cholesterol from food, most get it from their parents, i.e. genetics. I also eat all the broccoli and cauliflower (steamed with salt and real butter) I want.

No carbs! I cannot help but get 5 or so carb grams per day but no bread of any kind and no potatoes or carrots. I do not like any of that anyway but did at one time enjoy pasta but not any more. Also - no grains of any kind! No wheat or oatmeal or corn, but for breakfast you can have all the eggs and bacon you want. Oatmeal is the absolute worst breakffast you can eat. I sometimes have 6 scrambled eggs and a half pound of bacon and still lose quickly.

Do not use any oil but olive. No sunflower or other "vegetable" oils. If you have canola oil do not even give it to your enemy - it is too vile and unhealthy.

As always, there are some people with special considerations that should not participate, but for the majority it is stellar. Read up on keto and watch the weight come off. It isn't hard but it is a change, but beats hell out of starving knowing that in the end starving will be pointless. Keto will be simple to maintain for life.

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
