Weighed about 200 lbs, Sugar a bit high, Dr put me on a severe diet of chewing air. First week lost 5 lbs. Figure at this rate in 10 months I'll be all gone !

How tall are you?

I am 6' and should weigh about 180, I feel best about 190, am 200 now, need to lose at least 10.

Shoot back when I went into boot camp I was 6,2 and 135lbs. I am now 6 foot and 160. When I got out of boot camp I was right at 175lbs. Gained weight due to muscle

Old - I was 6'4", 179, and 36" waist, when I entered USMC Boot Camp....When I got out of Boot Camp, I was 6'5", 205, and 32" waist!
Those days are gone, though! Now I'm 6'7", 245, and 38" waist....

I have 34 waist, get me down to 32 and I am SKINNY.

Old, you have seen me, can you see me lose 25 pounds?

I wish I was you guys I was 6.2 397lbs I have lost 95lbs still 305 got a ways to go to 225 which I was at 30

You need to get there, lets keep you alive for a while.

Might be selfish, but do not want to lose any more friends for a while.

Yeah.

When I went through Marine Corps boot camp, I grew a half inch in height, lost 2" around my waist, and gained 10 pounds.

Don?t know what the ideal weight height ratio is. I am six foot and float up and down from 205-210. Probably I am a bit heavy, but weight comes with age. And I find if I drop below 200, everything seems a lot harder to push or pull. Bit of girth can make things move.

I have my physical next week. Who the heck schedules a physical the week after the holidays. My new bride and I are going to get serious about eating right again tomorrow. I'm a little over 5'11" and weigh 212. When I was shoeing horses I weighed 190 and felt great. Lots of lost muscle mass now so I guess I need to get below 190.

No but can you see me at 135lbs either?? I wear and odd pant size of 33X34 and there hard to find. Walmart stocked them in the past but not now

Air diet's good. Anxiety is a lot more effective. Currently 6' 2", 208lbs. Was 263 6 months ago. Lost almost 30 in the first two weeks after my girl friend of many years walked out on me. Expect to loose more with Ma's health in the bucket. Do I recommend it? Like a five-star Amazon rating? He!! no! Stick to the air diet. Wash it down with some Perri-air.

Happy New Year,
Mike

In March I realized by accident that I had a severe sugar issue and had become insulin resistant, immediately changed my diet to no carbs and no sugars . lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks suffered from hunger every day for about the first 4 months , my body has adjusted to the no sugar and I've gained back 25 pounds and really never feel hungry or deprived. vegetables for every meal with protein, excessive carbs are the bodies enemy. I have very little desire for carbs and sugar now and feel the best I have felt in likely 20 years , 6 foot and 185 pounds.

I feel your pain also. The week before christmas, I had my yearly physical and Doc told me my blood sugar was a little too high for his liking and that I also have fatty liver disease. Treatment eat like a rabbit and lose 10-30 lbs. I am 6'0 and weigh between 208-212 lbs.

David g , you and old have quite small waist, how big is your chest and neck size? Sounds like we are close to same height and weight, but there is no way I could wear 34 inch waist pants! I need 38 waist pants, 48 inch chest and 17 1/2-18 inch around the neck.

Just shy of 6' and 176. Was 158 till I switched jobs. Same company, just went from city driver to line haul. Don't do anything but drive now. No more lifting or dragging pallets around. Weighed in at 142 when I got married at 21. Just turned 60.

I have weighed 195. No diet, just eat less, no appetite. I'm down to 175. I was 6 ft. Closer to 5-10. Been checking my SpO levels, good 98-95. Pulse a little high, but normal.

Bp 140-93 pulse 81 whe walking around.
BP 107-75 pulse 81 when resting. BP med 20 mg CBD gummie.

Guess I should check my sugar.

I'm not as good as I used to be. Just Lacking energy.

Going to see Dr in 2 weeks. Hoping my only problem is too many birthdays, going to be 71 in a month.

I'm still not dead yet. I got out of bed, first time this year, and went straight to the bathroom. You can say I have get up and go.

I'm right at 6'4" and currently 202 - 205 lbs. After being diagnosed as a diabetic about 2.5 years ago I lost 55 to 60 lbs with diet, exercise/hard work, and medicine. The metformin diabetes medicine tends to reduce your appetite. Wouldnt mind dropping another 10 lbs.

The most broken resolution of all times, "I'm going to lose Weight." . Wish us all luck with that. You would think in this day and age that the medical industry would really do some valid research that would help with this world wide problem. Sure are a lot of fads out there. Happy New Year. Jim

Do not starve - it will all come roaring back eventually because you cannot maintain that diet for life. I am on strict keto - very high fat and high protein and high salt. Most folks do not eat enough salt. Doctrors did us all a disservice when they said to cut salt. You might cut 3 points off your BP but your heart rate went up more than enough to make you less healthy overall.

Eat more meat and chicken. I lost 22 pound in the first 15 days and in the last two weeks have lost 20 more. I am never hungry as I eat all the roast, burger patties, chicken (not breaded!), butter and mayo I want. For a snack I eat celery sticks dipped in mayonaisse. Oh - my cholesterol is down into normal range. Most do NOT get high cholesterol from food, most get it from their parents, i.e. genetics. I also eat all the broccoli and cauliflower (steamed with salt and real butter) I want.

No carbs! I cannot help but get 5 or so carb grams per day but no bread of any kind and no potatoes or carrots. I do not like any of that anyway but did at one time enjoy pasta but not any more. Also - no grains of any kind! No wheat or oatmeal or corn, but for breakfast you can have all the eggs and bacon you want. Oatmeal is the absolute worst breakffast you can eat. I sometimes have 6 scrambled eggs and a half pound of bacon and still lose quickly.

Do not use any oil but olive. No sunflower or other "vegetable" oils. If you have canola oil do not even give it to your enemy - it is too vile and unhealthy.

As always, there are some people with special considerations that should not participate, but for the majority it is stellar. Read up on keto and watch the weight come off. It isn't hard but it is a change, but beats hell out of starving knowing that in the end starving will be pointless. Keto will be simple to maintain for life.

Eating grass to lose weight.

I love this thread. It makes me envision a bunch of old fat guys
puffing their chests at each other

and doing so has their pants falling down

I guess the couple guys in the rest room still trying to end their pee missed it

Keep workin cause I need the medicaid insulin everyday

I got a head start this year, been eating healthy for about a week already, feel good and am down some weight . I haven't weighed myself but my pants fit looser so I know its happening. I am 5 11 and around 190lbs. I feel best around 175 lbs ,am now 54 years old. I have also decided to go through 2020 without any alcohol use at all, just want to try it and see if I am healthier, wealthier or wiser ! I do really like to drink beer.

Was supposed to meet up with a tractor guy at a show past summer. How would I know him?

"Well, I'm about six-four and weigh 400 lbs." Ok, good enough.
