Gave up being a nice guy many years ago . During a bad snow i was being nice and dragging IDIOTS out of the ditches and off guard rails this one night out east of town on the bad hill . It was so bad out even with a 3/4 ton 4x4 with weight in the bed and plow hanging off the ft. good tires a detroit locker in the rear and a limited slip in the ft i had to dawn the iron on both ends . My rule was YOU HOOK it to something solid . The hill looked like a demolishion durby track . The vary last person that i pulled out did not hook the chain to something solid and as i was just taking the slack out off came the whole lower valance . He sued me had to go to court take a mouth piece with me and my at the time girl friend to beat this case almost lost my insurance over this . Now had that state cop not been there it would have been his word against mine . It was so bad that night you could not even stand up on that hill as the state cop found out when he stepped out of his car and no wrecker from town come down the hill as there were three of them in the ditch up the hill from where i was and ended up dragging them out as well. Traffic was backed up 12 miles to the east of the hill and in town east bound state street was a parking lot . Once we got everybody off the hill the state salt truck had to use back roads to get to the hill and back his way up putting his whole load on the hill. Nope aibn't pulling anybody out , but i will call a wrecker for then and maybe the state patrol also.
