I got to thinking about this this morning and am curious what you folks think? Seems like it would be a good topic. There are 3 main items that I think were great buys for the farm that we should have done sooner had we known.
#1: Quick-tach for the westendorf loader. Now instead of being stuck with the loader bucket on it 24/7 we hardly have it ever on it. Instead we use the pallet forks and if we need to change its so darn simple. Money well spent!
#2: Hand held plasma cutter. We used to go through alot of acetylene and Oxygen on the torch heating and cutting metal. Now we hardly ever use the torch instead opting for the plasma cutter for cleaner, simpler, and faster cutting. The torch generally only sees "heating up" jobs now. Money well spent!
#3: 3 point receiver hitch drawbar: I got the drawbar to emulate the Farmall 450 fast hitch drawbar for our 3 point tractors to quickly and easily move pin and ball equipment around the farm and it has helped expedite the process. Just swap receiver hitches, back up, lift and go. Money Well Spent!
So what are some others you folks have found to be a good buy around your farms that have really helped out and you cant figure how you got along without it? Should be a fun topic!
