I don't understand why so many folks say you got to have live pto. Live pto is way over rated. For tillage, back blading, skidding logs, etc the pto is not even used so it's immaterial what type of pto you have. Given the choice I would take power steering over lpto any time. Live hydraulics is a different matter. I would skip the Ns for that reason alone as they don't have it. Also, the 8Ns have the most ridiculously FAST reverse speed ever put in a tractor. I suggest he look for a Ford 3000 with the good options on it.
