I also have a picture of the plug that i removed, which i will attach. It is the plug that my pliers are pointed towards.
If this is indeed the same diagram that my tractor is supposed to have, can you look and tell me if the orientation of the parts are in the right place on the diagram vs what should be in a super major ?.
The diagram looks exactly like the parts that came out of mine, when i removed the threaded plug # 11.
So i am going to assume a 1963 new performance super major was made this way and the orientation of the parts is correct, unless you tell me otherwise.
If the diagram is correct, then some idiot has installed # 12,15,16 completely backwards.
What i mean is the parts ( guts ) are all installed 180 degrees from the orientation that the diagram shows.
The spring #14 isnt there at all !
Do i need to remove # 18 and try to free it up, or is #18 a stationary part ?
I think this part may be where my weak hydraulic and up only issue is coming from, and if so, how do i remove it ?
It seems like the pressure from the pump is dead headed, and not really flowing to remote block cover or the 3 point lift arms, but kind of stuck in beyween.
The reason i say that is, i tried, as a test, to leave the guts out of the assembly, and install the plug # 11 only, and sure enough the arms will raise and lower with engine at idle speed, like it is supposed to !
Can i try to lift a attachment this way ( gutted ) , or will i cause major damage ?
Can anyone advise me if this is the correct parts diagram for a 63 new performance super.major, , since all my parts match, i am assuming it is.
Where can i possibly find replacement parts, like the missing spring ?
Should i remove #18 from the bore and clean it, and if so, how do i remove it ?
