Here is an old mans take on the PTO generators, and yes I know there on folks on here that swear by them but. After 28 years in the Kubota business I have see this. They work well for static loads, like a milk barn and things but whole house you get the rpms right and the out put right then your refrigerator kicks on then you either have low voltage or have to change the tractor speed. Over the years I have seen many appliance burned out from folks trying to run a house with pto generators. Maybe the voltage is regulated better on these latter units but me myself would look for either a diesel or lp gas generator and install a automatic transfer switch. Sure makes life easier. Just an old mans experience and again you might get buy with a pto unit but they sure are cheap in this part of the country when at auction.
