The real question is can you trust your buddy. How did it run before the fire. wiring is easy to fix. Does it have power steering. did all the hydraulics work okay what do you want with it. use it or re sale. IH tractor location is very important. some places they are very popular. I find they are a good little tractor but if you grew up with another brand you may not want that kind. if you look around you probably could find a set of good used tires from under 300. now you would be at 1400. another 100 for wiring, etc. that wouldn't be bad but also remember 3 pt hook ups are what most implements are so your fast hitch wouldn't do you much good but you can use the pto for a brush hog. They do make a 3pt hook up to fit the fast hitch but that's just more money. The loader can be a good asset but if it doesn't have power steering then you will have to use the arm strong power steering which can be difficult at times. In all it depends upon you. If you feel fine with the price then buy it. If your not sure then walk away.
