If it's turning back,I haven't heard it. The local station plays country oldies. I listen to WRVK out of Renfro Valley Ky in the house most of the time. They play mostly old stuff and local artists. When we were headed home from Tennessee in August, the wife fell asleep and I didn't want to take my eyes off the road long enough to change CDs,so I tuned in to two different "modern" country stations. Didn't take me long to get real sick of listening to the same song over and over, just with different words and different names of the same sounding artists. I quit listening to modern country radio back when I couldn't turn it on without hearing Kenny Rogers or the Oak Ridge Boys. It never seemed to improve after that sickening period in time.
