We got toned out at 23:11 last night for smell of propane in a house. I was sound asleep but I went because there is always the potential of it being a big deal. There were already drivers for both pieces that were running so I hopped into the back of the quint truck. Snow was coming down hard with quite a bit on the roads, but we got there and up the long driveway. When the driveway turned into steep down hill the driver asked the captain if he wanted to go down there. The captain said yes so we went, but when the driver went to turn to take the branch towards the house the truck just slid straight into the police cruiser that was parked there. I would have had the On Spots deployed myself but the driver didn't feel the need. There was very little damage but policy calls for investigation by the state police when any police cruiser is involved in an accident. I got to bed at around 2:15, and no, the sensors didn't detect any propane.
