So much missing information! Does your 1450 have hyd. lift or manual lift lever? Check for broken spirol roll pins on anything attached to the 3/4" diameter round steel bar that is the rockshaft.
Have you successfully installed and operated the snow blower on this Cub Cadet before? Or is this the first time you have tried to install a snow blower on this tractor? Fact your front tires were flat doesn't sound promising. If the tractor wearing this snow blower is a new pairing of the two machines, the lift bar from the tractor rockshaft to the snow blower may be too long. Most guys on IHCubCadet.com make adjustable lift rods so they can adjust lift height. Making a new lift rod is not hard. Put 2x4's under both frt tires, with lift lever lowered completely and snow blower setting on floor, measure center to center distance from lift lever hole to snow blower lift lever hole. I used a piece of 1" or 1-1/4" x 1/8" galvanized steel flat stock on my CC 35 years ago. Cut to length, drill two 1/2" holes, DONE!
