Snow blower question on 1450 CC.

Question about a snowblower on a 1450 Cub Cadet. Got it put on the tractor today got everything working except it only lifts about one inch high. Pumped up the tires on tractor. Rockshaft Worked fine all summer with the deck on. Just wondering if there an adjustment some where that I missed. Thanks. Sod Buster

Is there an adjustment for the lift back by your right leg? Mine has a big knob and a curved piece that limits the depth for mowers, other attachments.

So much missing information! Does your 1450 have hyd. lift or manual lift lever? Check for broken spirol
roll pins on anything attached to the 3/4" diameter round steel bar that is the rockshaft.

Have you successfully installed and operated the snow blower on this Cub Cadet before? Or is this the first
time you have tried to install a snow blower on this tractor? Fact your front tires were flat doesn't
sound promising. If the tractor wearing this snow blower is a new pairing of the two machines, the lift
bar from the tractor rockshaft to the snow blower may be too long. Most guys on IHCubCadet.com make
adjustable lift rods so they can adjust lift height. Making a new lift rod is not hard. Put 2x4's under
both frt tires, with lift lever lowered completely and snow blower setting on floor, measure center to
center distance from lift lever hole to snow blower lift lever hole. I used a piece of 1" or 1-1/4" x
1/8" galvanized steel flat stock on my CC 35 years ago. Cut to length, drill two 1/2" holes, DONE!

It has a hyd lift. As far as I know this snowblower and tractor have been together since new.

A 1450 is hydraulic lift. I have a 1450 and a snowthrower. The depth stop is the big black knob on the right side of the tractor near your foot as you're sitting on it. Remove it along with the cam and then see how it works.

Like the other guys say, check the lift stop
by your right foot. Slop in the pins can do
this. I have one on my 2072 and it doesn't
lift very high either. Gives up height for
lifting power. That blower is heavy on a
lawn mower.

UPDATE. I ended up making a bracket out of a piece of angle iron. Added about 4 inches to the rockshaft arm. And moved the hole back about an inch or so. Works good now. Lifts the snowblower up about 6-8 inches off the ground
