our ranch has a john deere 401d industrial loader/ tractor. recently I started having transmission problems. its pulling ok on level ground, but it is stalling on about any uphill grade. where it used to pull uphill at no lower than high range 1st gear. it now has to be put in low range, 1st, or second, just a crawl. I changed hydraulic, and transmission filters, and fluid. and I cleaned the sump screen. but still no better. does anyone have any experience, or suggestions on what else to check before I send to it to a 90.00 hr shop. thanks
