Of course I had to try to fix something that was not broken. I decided it was time to change spark plugs. Not sure if they were in there since new or how long. I am somewhat paranoid about pulling plugs out of aluminum cylinder heads. I took the plug boots off of the plugs and sprayed P Blaster down the holes on the top of the head that the plugs and wires go into. The next day I removed and replaced the plugs with new. The old ones came out fine and I used ant-sieze on the new. The old ones did not look that bad, but the gap was considerably more than it should have been. Even though I cleaned out the P Blaster with a vacuum cleaner and a rag, I have an ignition miss. It is always missing at idle and when loaded down. Also yesterday the check engine light came on. I figured that the computer should reset itself by disconnecting the battery. I did that today, but still have the ignition miss even though the check engine light is not on! Tomorrow I will probably pull the plugs and wires and clean up everything in the area and try again. Any ideas what else might be an issue? I even put Dielectric grease in the plug boots to prevent any moisture entering the connection.
